Glenda Simpson

Glenda is descendant of gamilaraay/yuwaalaraay/ngiyampaa/weilwan mobs from north-western NSW. Glenda has made the Central Coast her home for more than eight years, Glenda is the longest serving team member with Barang Regional Alliance, contributing her expertise in administration.

Glenda acquired proficiency in Business Administration, E-Business, Micro-computing Support, Accounting, Assessment and Workplace Training, and holds a Bachelor of Education through University of Technology Sydney.

Before her tenure at Barang, Glenda was self-employed as a bookkeeper and worked in adult education through TAFE NSW Western Institute, working in a variety of capacities, including Regional Coordinator, Course Coordinator, and Facilitator in several areas of Western NSW. Previous employment also included working in Youth and Community Services, Aboriginal Medical Service and Early Childhood.  

Previous to working on the Central Coast Glenda had extensive experience working within several Aboriginal communities across western NSW serving on numerous Aboriginal community and educational committees in different capacities including Ygal Yalla (Youth) Forum, Aboriginal Student Support and Parent Awareness Committees, Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Committees, Homework Centre Management Committee and participating in several Aboriginal Community Working Parties, Community Drug and Alcohol Team, Aboriginal Cell Support Officer and serving on a Community College Education Board and an Aboriginal Support Network's Executive Committee while working in NSW government.
